From Partnership in a large regional law firm, to founding Goodwill Law in 2019, Will has represented private commercial and publicly listed corporate Energy clients for nearly 10 years.

As Managing Director of Goodwill Law, Will has shifted his focus to ensuring Goodwill Law represents a modern-day lean legal services provider prioritizing both client experience and staff wellbeing.

Outside of law and business, Will is a regular weekend warrior, battling the line-ups around Taranaki’s coast. When not surfing, Will is usually spending time with his wife and two boys, or (when the stars align) playing golf, or relaxing with friends.

For nearly a decade, Will has advised national and international Energy coporates, and their subsidiaries, on both on and offshore upstream Oil and Gas exploration and mining activities. Including both project specific contractual drafting, negotiation and regulatory matters in New Zealand. 

Commercial Start-ups and Restructuring

From structuring start-ups to restructuring international corporate clients New Zealand based asset portfolios, Will has expertise in ensuring his client’s risk profile is managed effectively and their assets are not exposed to undue risk. Will’s work in this area covers a range of areas, including business start-ups, forestry contracting and export activities, property development and investment as well as private client asset protection.

Will remains at the forefront of his private client’s commercial and property interests.
