Jeremy Shoebridge
Senior Associate - Napier
Jeremy has 14 years experience, starting out in private practice through to 12 years in-house in government roles. He joins Goodwill Law as a Senior Associate providing consultation services, heading the Napier Office. He works part time, alongside continuing work as a Principal Legal Adviser for the Crown.
Professional background
Jeremy has built a career taking complex things, and giving legal advice that is pragmatic and easy to understand. He’s played key roles on contentious public bills including in dairy, resource management, and waste, and is one of the Crown’s leading lawyers on amendments to the Emissions Trading Scheme.
Jeremy has used his practical legal skills representing New Zealand in international negotiations under United Nations forums, in Cabinet, in Parliament, and face-to-face with Ministers across the political spectrum.
Outside of work, he focuses on raising three little runners, and growing fruit. He can’t hit a ball to save his life, but loves getting his hands in the dirt, sipping craft beer, and making hard things simple.
